Choosing to shoot film encourages us to be more observant & present in the moment and capture memories that feel real.

iPhone vs Film Photography
iPhone allows us to shoot practically unlimited number of photos promoting a mindless shooting aspect that results in repetitive photos that feel disposable.
Shooting film is a slower process that comes with limitations. Having a limited number of exposures forces us to be more critical of what we capture.
Film photos become tangible tokens of memories that feel authentic and capture our imagination.
Rapid Testing
I went for a walk around campus and took photos on my phone with the iPhone and Film mindset.
Aim: Test the effectiveness of the video format
Learnings: Contrast between iPhone and Film photography needs to be as strong as possible

Art Direction
A couple in their early 20s goes out for special occasion dinner to a good restaurant. The characters are dressed in a smart-casual way, showing that they like to put the effort in.
They are on the early 20s budget, meaning they appreciate simple things in life. Rarely, they get to enjoy finer moments and they both want to cherish them.
Film: Shoot in a considered and beautiful way.
iPhone: Shoot many repetitive photos.

I wish I carried out more visual research to inform the style of the Film photos I shot
The video could be more explicit in communicating why film should be THE CHOICE when taking photos
